RELAXATION & FINE FOOD

The Original "Little Thatch" was built in 1351 and, as such, it is one of the oldest buildings in Gloucestershire.

At the time there was only 20 people living in Quedgeley. It was an important building and local tradition says that, in 1535, King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn stayed here on their way to visit the Fleet in Bristol.

At that time, the former Queen Katharine of Aragon was still alive and Anne Boleyn was not accepted by the population of Gloucester, who were then predominantly Catholic as the legitimate Queen of England.

The Little Thatch Hotel offers a

Relaxing stay and friendly surroundings.
