Welcome to the Little Thatch Historic Inn

Originally built in 1351 and as such one of the county’s oldest buildings this popular inn is steeped in local history. In 1535 King Henry VIII and his Queen Anne Boleyn are reputed to have stayed at the Little Thatch whilst on their way to visit the Fleet in Bristol.

Located in the village of Quedgeley, just 3 miles from the centre of Gloucester with its famous Docks, Museums and Cathedral and only minutes from junction 12 of the M5, the Little Thatch is ideally located for leisure guests wishing to explore both the historic city and the stunning natural beauty of the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean.

The Little Thatch is also perfectly situated for business travellers being less than one mile from Quedgeley West Business Park and Waterwells Business Park. The Olympus Business Park is within walking distance of the Little Thatch.

Our 24 en-suite bedrooms have all the amenities expected of a 3 star hotel with complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the premises.

The popular Anne Boleyn restaurant serves fresh, home cooked food and there is always a good selection of locally brewed ales available from the bar.

The Banqueting Suite at The Little Thatch is well known as a perfect venue for weddings, christenings and private parties capable of seating up to 80 guests.
